Alias Composer license feature name?

Hello, First off.. this is not about pirated software or offering to buy/sell/trade commercial software! I have some systems with licenses installed by previous owners and I am trying to figure out which license 'feature' is used by Alias|Wavefront Composer (in particular 5.0 version.. but they may ...

Re: Mips3 E-Uae

compiled with GCC (mips3) it seems to load up the GUI/menu now. but it took awhile. This is on a 150mhz Indigo-without-the-go.
I started a Sword of Sodan game.. its a slide show with music very choppy.

Maybe more tweaks to settings could make it better....

Re: Mips3 E-Uae

I was able to compile it on a R4k Indy (mips3) with 6.5.22 without any problem (nekoware's mips3 stuff are installed).. I took the orig tardist (mips4) author's patch that is avail inside the tardist.. but it would not run... well it just sat there not doing anything, no GUI menu showed up either. T...

Re: Onyx2 Deskside, 4x400MHz R12K, IR3, 8GB RAM

Tell the wife why your Onyx2 runs for days or weeks consuming electricity for no reason:
From the Onyx2 Owners Guide page 95 http://www.irix7.com/techpubs/007-3454-004.pdf

"Do not power off the system frequently; leave it running over nights and weekends,
if possible."

The manual said so!

sysmon 0.93 for IRIX (mips4)

NOTE: Not related to IRIX's sysmon desktop monitoring tool. sysmon 0.93 compiled (GCC) for IRIX mips4 I like it because it is fully command-line driven.. while it can output to an HTML status page, it's curses (and non-curses client) display nicely if over SSH or on lower spec hardware. Simple is ke...

Re: Indigo2 PC case mod

The only issue is that the ITX board only has one PS2 port, so I can't use a matching mouse with my granite keyboard. You can use a PS2 splitter.. something like https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200078 (note: i have not tested/used this particular brand/model.. just some ol...

Re: [Not Mine][eBay] IBM ThinkPad Power Series

What is a good price for something like this? Lets say I have a cosmetically mint condition, boots to AIX fine, battery charge unknown.. I assume 1k$ is too high? The current ebay ones seem to have some cosmetic scuffs on them.

Re: Rise of the Triad

A trick to 'double' the size of the screen of rott in IRIX..
run oglsnoop. stretch the oglsnoop window to its largest, then zoom out a few times so the rott window can fit in it.. and then you have a larger game screen. Its a bit better to play now on a 1920x1080 desktop.

Adding to this thread.. binary I found. (its opensource compiled.. no copyright issues as far as I am aware of) Rott-compiled-irix.zip Tiny window.. unless you set your X display to be as tiny. Works on my Octane2... except sound. constant hiss but I have not looked into it. I had to place my legall...

Re: Show Off Your Home Office Setup & SGI Collection...

If you ever get tired of being you I'd be happy to take the job. Not so glamorous as it may seem.. its a basement storing the remnants of my shuttered dedicated server provider company from the 2000s (customers rented out full SUN servers remotely for a monthly fee; niche focus was on 'military gra...
