DmediaPro + DM5 instructions

Hi, does anyone have any detailed setup (command help) documentation for setting up the dmediapro from the prom(via serial connection)? Reckon I need to know this beast inside out to get the best from it.

Many thanks.

Re: Maya Log file

I'll investigate tomorrow, but possible that the dbx version doesn't recognise the newer CPUs? R5000 produces (old machine) O2 1# uname -R 6.5 6.5.30m O2 2# dbx dbx version 7.3 MR 55458_Apr30_MR Apr 30 1999 13:44:41 (dbx) R12000 produces (latest machines-ish) Xo2 2# uname -R 6.5 6.5.30m Xo2 3# dbx d...

Re: Maya Log file

Unfortunately, since the app has never been able to start, I don't think there is a project folder.

Re: Internet Connection for Indy

Open a shell (Top left - Tool Chest - Desktop - Open unix shell) type the following and press enter/return netstat -ia Under the column Address, you will possibly see a bunch of letters & numbers segmented by 5 : (that is five colons) for example 6c:33:a9:34:c6:1e (this is the mac of the machine...

Re: Sofimage|3d 4.0 on 1600sw

For anyone who wants more info on this. hermessgi is correct edit the file /usr/Softimage/Soft3D_4.0/.softimage400 <I presume, the 4.0 and 400 are dependant on your version of softimage. add the following line for 1600sw monitors. setenv SI_SCREENRES SI_1600X1024 This works a treat on my o2 with 160...

Re: Visual Workstation 320: worth trying?

IO had one years back, in fact I could still have one in the elusive magic loft that is my ex's. As hamei says, nice to play with but they get boring pretty soon. Mine came with the 1600sw I'm still using. I recall spending a lot of time putting Linux on it and not really getting anything half decent.

Re: Maya Log file

New account didn't work.
Think I'll remove and re-install.
Most log files are held in adm/ folders, located /usr/adm & /var/adm
Couldn't find anything of use though.

Maya Log file

Put this here because, it's a plain old software issue.

I start Maya 6.5 and get Exit 139 (maya doesn't even appear)

Running on o2 R12000 with 448 Mb Ram

Can someone tell me where the maya log is please, I can then start investigations.

Many Thanks

Re: Vintage UNIX computers/servers for SALE-auction

You can put them on ebay with a starting bid of 100 EUR, meaning, the first bidder must bid at least 100 EUR.
