Re: FS: [SF Bay Area] Tezro Deskside 4xR16K 700MHz

Hmm, if I did buy the Tezro, what would shipping cost? Like another $100?

Re: FS: [SF Bay Area] Tezro Deskside 4xR16K 700MHz

Oh jeez, that is tempting. I am down in Los Angeles. Any 3d software on the Tezro? Probably not because I can't remember the Tezro era being sold as 3d workstations. Mostly flame setups. We actually still have a couple Tezro flame setups here at Digital Domain. Would love to get it if I could succes...

Nice!

I am looking forward to English translation, but for now will try to BabelFish the articles. :D

Very cool magazine idea. Oh BTW, Why not make a PDF Version? We could print and save shipping costs?

What is the most CPU power you can get for an Octane or Oct2

I was looking around old SGI sites and saw that Octanes can do a dual cpu setup. Is the Dual 600mhz octane2 the most amount of processor power you can get? I have seen a few local ads in Los Angeles for Octane 2 boxes for real cheap (50$) and was thinking, over the next few years I could kit out an ...

Re: Bought an O2 off ebay. Some questions.

Oh, lots! The software you named alone is pretty awesome I must say, isn't that fun enough by itself? :D If you're referring to games, there's a bunch of open source stuff that'd run, but also DOOM, Quake trilogy and several others. Of course you can emulate a bunch of older LucasArts SCUMM-engine ...

Re: Booted O2, works great! One problem. Video looks a bit green

Well, last night I tried adjusting the gamma like you mentioned but no matter what I did the blacks always had green in them, even when I turned green all the way down. So I just went ahead and tried different resolutions at different hz and saw that the blacks on some settings went from green to pu...

Re: vfo/vfs for O2

WOW. That is amazing. Man I would just sit and scan things all day with that scope. I have friends that are marketing a product that reduces wind shear on cars for racing. They made some sort of fluid that when it dries it molecules bond really uniform reducing wind shear alot. I told them they need...

Booted O2, works great! One problem. Video looks a bit green

Hey fellow SGI enthusiasts. So I got the O2 delivered today and played with it a bit. The seller included a separate vid in and out card with the RCA in and outs. The one in the O2 didn't have the two extra, what look like, S_video in-outs. So I have two A/V cards I guess. Anyways, on to t...

I'd like to try this out. Is there a demo that would run on the O2 r12k?

Bought an O2 off ebay. Some questions.

Well, I am one of those CG guys that has been doing CGI since 1995. I wanted to get into doing 3d graphics back in 1995 and when I went to Siggraph of that year in LA I saw the SGI booth and the Softimage booth and knew what I wanted to get. ------Skip to long Story END below if you get bored easily...
