Re: [ebay]: Tezros!

OK, as someone who doesn't sell much at all on eBay but has some shoehorns to move, how do you avoid being labeled "fishy"? 1. Use a current eBay account, even if new. It's honesty. 2. Write your own descriptions. It doesn't take that long and injecting humor could mean a faster sale and/...

Re: Anyone else watching for the DM-2?

I didn't know they were hosting another test or I'd have made the drive out to watch. The spectator area is about a mile away from the UUT, but you can still feel the blast at your core. Video does not do it justice, but if you can't be on-site, it's a good substitute.

The last one is from May this year..

As a buyer, yeah. The feedback you cite even says "good buyer". As I said in my post, though, the last feedback for something he sold is from 2005.

Re: Expanding geek horizons to automotive repair is interest

...working on cars is a lot more physically demanding, and a lot dirtier. Reeking of gasoline is no fun, but I'll take that and grease any day over fixing the computer of someone who smoked next to it. --- My brother is a carb-head. He's fiercely anti-fuel injection, leaning on carburetors fl...

Expanding geek horizons to automotive repair is interesting.

This weekend, I performed the most in-depth repair I've ever done on a vehicle, bar none. My wife's Grand Prix had a leaky lower intake manifold gasket. Coolant was being sucked into the engine and the residues were clogging the catalytic converter, which has to be replaced. The repair was going to ...

Found an Apple IIc Flat Panel Display

I have no use for it, but these are said to be rare as hell. My entrepreneurial side is kicking in. Any idea what it's worth?

That's a lot of O2s. I'm certainly interested.

Re: FS: Possibly for group buy

How many O2s are we talking about here total? I understand the best ones have such and such configuration noted in a previous post, which is worth a fair bit to me, but I need to know how many O2s I'd end up with and how many have the 1327 motherboard that's particularly important to my kung fu. I c...

I'm game. I'll let you know if the X-ray machine at the plant is fixed soon or if the new one's software package arrives. That's my only way of checking the job. Out of curiosity, do you have a source for more chips? Doing the swap requires working up a new Teradyne profile and that part doesn't alw...

Re: Blackbox kvm 50$, and free for pickup Octane 2

For the sake of setting minds at ease, I'll step in.

I got the Octane. My Dad picked it up before his trip to Utah and it's in my workshop now.

It's worth mentioning that it didn't have a V6 in it, it had an MXE, which was even better in my case.

Re: keyboard lettering

...you can't buy a regular keyboard in any store anymore, they are all designed to look like stupid space ships. Ain't that the truth. I had to hit the second-hand store for the two IBM Model Ms in my collection and I can't even use those on my new rig. It's certainly rare to have a keyboard that, ...
