Re: Blender Irix Development

Yess! Looks great! :D

Only thing that came to my mind that some .svn directories are included (e.g. blender-2.45-irix-6.5-mips/.blender/scripts/.svn and others).

greetings and thanks a lot for your efforts!

Re: JNLP (jave network launching protocol) applications

Is this maybe a problem with the java version in IRIX...

yep simply too old, it doesn't have javaws (java webstart). use at least 1.5 (better java6) to run ws smoothly.

Re: Tinny audio in Fuel

When Itry to access http://files.irix-tools.homeunix.net/irix/aer.c I get a 404. So I can't test this ... however my fuel w/soundcard just seems to work very nice, never got a problem, any testfile to download?

Re: .mov playback poblems

Anyways, I'm completely lost on what to do. EDIT: We need some sort of compression. Selecting none gave me a video 326 megs in size. on IRIX you can always user blender (in the sequence-editor) to convert from quicktime (uncompressed) to e.g. avi/jpg (size is small and youtube handles this quite ni...

Re: MaXXi Desktop + Nvidia = WOW !

Hi all, just to let you know that I've made my mind and I officially announce that I am droping ATi support for the MaXXi Desktop. Many APIs that I wrote relies on ARGB-GLX, XComposite and solid OGL support, which are not AMD/ATi strongest selling points. ATI really sucks on linux. maybe you keep s...

Re: JRE/JDK for IRIX?

why cant they give something back I think SGI is doing what one calls businessoptimisation - why should they do when they get nothing back (in terms of money). Of course the would get a myriad of bisous and kisses from IRIX-users ... but even giving away some bits needs manpower and produces costs,...

Re: JRE/JDK for IRIX?

Didnt Sun opensource it?, if so anyone think it will compile on irix? I gave it a try, like most sun/java stuff it comes as a netbeans project. netbeans 5.5 (with the subversion module) works on IRIX using SGIs JDK 1.4. Java has 2 parts, a JRE (java runtime, the interpreter) and a JDK (devel-stuff ...
