Re: Raptor Talos POWER8 Workstation

Workstation eh? Might need decent graphics adapter support. Are there open source drivers for AMD/NVIDIA (or other notable) graphics on POWER/PPC?

Re: OS/2 Warp and Thinkpad 390

I had to log back in (after a 5-year absence hehe) to say that I had Warp 4 working on the 390E without any trouble, but that was when I was regularly using it around 2001-2004. I do remember using the updated disks, updated the firmware to the latest (1.55) and using the original 3.2GB hard disk. Y...

Re: What is a PowerPC 760?

OK the chart kind of answers my question, on what other processors the -140 can take, but it still doesn't explain why the PowerPC 604e and ev/r as the PowerPC 760. Thinking about it a little further, is it something to do with the PowerPC 750 being a direct evolution of the 603? As for operating sy...

What is a PowerPC 760?

As the title states, I would like to know if there was such a processor. I acquired an old 7043-140 to fix a non-functional 7043-140 and looking at the firmware updates there was an entry stating that the particular firmware level- Added support for PowerPC 760 processor at 233MHz. I remember trying...

Hi compcomp, do you have a tardist handy? Is there any chance for me to grab a copy? I'm on study break and just got my O2 and Octane working!

NLE goes open source: Lightworks

http://www.editshare.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=164&Itemid=160 Has anyone used it before? It sounds like one of those 'best product no one uses'. Looks like an opportunity to peddle some services and products around this open source product. Will it work for them? Any...

Re: irssi 0.8.13 n32

I would, if my c3750 had 11i v1. I bought a media set of 11i v2 and installing it without realising that it's unsupported on HP 9000 workstations (no driver for fx10pro for starters).

Re: Universal 13w3 cable help?

I haven't but the other modes suggest: COMP. SYNC OUT = composite sync plus RGB (RGBS) HV. SYNC OUT = separate sync, like typical PC VGA on DB-15 or 5 BNC (RGBHV) The others may tell you about what specific systems used those modes over 13w3, because I don't :P The on/off may just be 'either' for th...
