i cleaned up the makefile leaving only what's actually needed. i further kept the warning 84 (not used for resolving any symbol) which was very useful in this case. i also added a separate part for debugging which can be un/commented as required and changed CXXC_OPTS to -O3. there's a lot more that ...

just took the 0.3 for a ride and it built fine with 7.4.4. however i had to remove a few linker flags because you seem to add a lot of libs that you don't even use. one of them i didn't have installed so i tried cutting that down ... without problems.

just tried the 2.02 from your link on an r4400 indigo2 with 5.3. it does start and all but i always get a network error with and without using a proxy.

that's not a good idea because if extracted on windows the file permissions as well as upper/lower case get lost. also windows can't handle situations when the only difference between 2 files is the case. the latter btw causes problems with osx, too. at least with the default filesystem settings. un...

for creating an iso or similar image format your host os doesn't need to be able to read the cd's content.

on a second thought it might be easier to install it again. resizing is tricky and i don't remember whether having a combined lv is supported for the root volume.
the installer requires multiple partitions but you can create the partitions yourself and by that define the size.
