Ontario nekomeet would be cool. Maybe biased because I live there, but Ottawa is within reasonable driving distance of Toronto and Montreal and is large enough to have a few nekochan users of its own.

Sure, it would be fun.

WTB: Onyx RE2 deskside - preferably in Eastern Canada

As the title illustrates, I am looking to find a good condition deskside Onyx RE2.

It's fine with either R4K or R10K.

I can collect pretty much anywhere in Eastern Canada, but will entertain paying for shipping from the US.

Any help finding such machine is appreciated.

Re: Ultra 64 dev board

Actually the Joyboard is not the only option to use the Ultra64 board. Nintendo also manufactured some N64 controllers that could be plugged directly to the Ultra64 board without having the Joyboard; these are also rare but when found are generally less expensive than the Joyboard... The Joyboard is...

Re: My SGI Ultra64 dev kit up and running again...

Great video there, thanks a lot! Maybe you could make more if you have time to or wish to? I mean, I doubt I'll ever get to see one for real. Man, if I had such a thing like ten years ago, I'd have gone insane, flunked out of school and spend all my time hacking and writing R4300 code. I wonder if ...

Re: My SGI Ultra64 dev kit up and running again...

Thank you everybody! The board doesn't need uploading individual roms in special order, the roms are uploaded to the board with a command that also starts the execution immediately after downloading. By the way I also uploaded a small video, unfortunately the quality on Youtube is not great... http:...

My SGI Ultra64 dev kit up and running again...

Hello everybody, just a quick note, I took my SGI Ultra64 dev hardware out of the boxes to boot it up and check everything is still in working order. Then I decided to take a hi-res picture to show the hardware running a game, and here it is... http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/83/dsc0696vm8.th.jpg...

Last call: free Indigo2 somebody get it or it goes to trash.

Machine located in Toronto, Canada.
I am asking for $75, but since I would prefer to not trash it, I am giving it away for free, you only have to pay for shipping.
A small contribution would be nice, but it's up to you.

Cheers,

jan -jaap: I thought that stating clearly "The computer is located downtown Toronto, if anbody wants to pick it up we can arrange." in my previous post would be clear enough, but then again probably not... I live downtown Toronto, Canada; the computer is with me downtown Toronto, Canada. C...

Please gentlemen, don't make me trash this machine.
I can give it away nearly for free to anybody who wants to pick it up.

If anybody wants parts I can send them separately, but it won't be for free, as I don't really have time to do the splitting/shipping.

Thank you.

As LaLora pointed out performance is ultimately essential, and so is power consumption and heat dissipation. The smaller footprint of BlueGene makes it capable of using more computing processors in a unit of space. On top of that the kind of computation the scientific community needs uses pretty muc...

Let's shed some light :-) 1) You can use the 24 bit XL24 gfx card in the Indy together with the Ultra64 board, because it is only a 1 board set. You cannot use the XZ board. 2) The SDK works on all Indys, including R5000 ones. 3) N64 roms will NOT run on the Ultra64 board as you get them. First ther...

I redirect the output of the Ultra64 development board to the Indy VINO Video S-Video in and it works great!
I can develop in a window and see the program running in the VINO preview window :-)
