Just thought I'd let you know, I tried the console clients of bittorrent today and bittorrent-console works but bittorren-curses gives me a segfault.

If you want any more info please let me know.

Great work Foetz!

I had absolutley no hassle at all installing it on my Indigo2 running nekoware python. Well except for changin the path to python, something I never would have figured out if I hadn't read this post. But then again I would never have found Bittorrent without this post.

Well I think I've been lurking way too much since I got my iBook a couple of months ago. Time to get active again and what better way than to fill in the blanks for me in this story. My name is Markus I'm 28 years old, living and breathing in Sweden. I work for an advertising agency as... well I do ...

Nifty apps that makes life easier on the ibook.

I'd like to share some nice apps with you that I found to be very useful. Quicksilver is an excellent launcher and searchfeature. Alot faster than spotlight and like the same invokable with keycommands. It takes some time to get used to but is so much faster than using finder to locate an applicatio...

I usually make sure I make the coffee around the office. And since we're not that many it's pretty easy to persuade them how to brew coffee properly. It's also important to make sure you run interference with newcomers at an early stage. Show them the ropes around the machine. Be sure to state that ...

I already pay nearly $300 a month - 1.1mb is all you get :) I was looking for the PayPal or Amazon donation button! I'm not much for donating on demand, but this is one of the sites I wouldn't have a problem chipping in for once in a while. Considering how much effort you put in to this plac...

This is how I look at this issue - if money is no object, by all means, get the PB. However, for the price of an entry level 15' inch Powerbook, you can purchase two 12' inch iBooks, or an iBook and two good 19' inch LCD panels, or an Ibook, two 17' inch LCD panels, a color iPod, and still have mon...

I'm starting to feel very confident in the 12" iBook. I was worried about feeling that I cheaped out buying the ibook instead of the powebook but when powerbook users tells me to spend my money more wisely it's pretty clear what I want.

Thanks alot for all your input.

well I've stepped into the "I will buy the 12" iBook zone" and will make the deal within a couple of days.. so unless someone really thinks I'm making a mistake I guess a 12" iBook it is :)

I was looking at the iBook today and the difference isn't that big any more.

mainly it's the ability to get superdrive in the 12" pb, the cpu speed and the line in jack.. other than that..

so is there any reason I should go for the more expensive pb unless I really need the superdrive?

Help me choose: Powerbook, iBook or mini even

I've been wanting to buy a Mac now for almost a year, but I can't really decide which one to go for. What I would be doing with it is mainly daily usage. Such as e-mail and surfing. But I would also like to use imovie to edit the occasional home movie. Ofcourse I would want to be able to watch dvd's...
