It would be nice if one of us would get this. I don't think I've ever seen the propack on ebay before.

Re: [eBay] The ultimate Fuel

As much of a hobby as SGIs are, a fuel like this is what separates the different types of hobbyists. I would never spend this much money on a machine like this, but I'm not really going for performance. I collect SGIs because they are beautiful machines and because of the unique place in history the...

Sweet classic SGI poster for sale in south texas.

http://corpuschristi.craigslist.org/sys/1644925534.html

If it were something that could be rolled up and shipped, I'd buy it myself. But poster-board isn't very good for shipping (at least not without exorbitant handling charges) so maybe someone closer by would like it.

Re: Price check on Tezro & O2000

An IO9 in a Tezro? I thought card existed just to provide basic I/O to origins? What use would a Tezro have for one?

Re: "Unlimited Detail" - new rendering technology

I can't help but notice the complete lack of animation in his environment. As one would expect. Without polygons, how can you animate anything? Are they going to recalculate the locations for each point between every frame? And once you start moving things, you have to recache your search data. He a...

The unhappy Octane 2

I'm in a bit of a spot. I've had this Octane 2 for over a year and am I'm just now getting it up and running. I have DINA running on 192.168.0.110, but when I boot my Octane 2 up to do the net install, it tells me it can't reach the host. Now, I have got my hands on a harddrive with IRIX 6.5.27f ins...

Re: eBay: SGI O2+ R12000 400mhz 512mb

One word describes the service you provided: EXCELLENCE. 2nded. Proximity to Ian's QoS is near reason enough to move to Scotland. The packaging of the CDs I ordered from him could have survived WWIII. Btw, what is a T-cut? I have a few skins that are little beat-up and I'm interested in finding way...

Re: Dovebid in Indianapolis: 2 x Indigo2 w/Impact Video

Oh well, missed it. No big deal, as it seems only pick-ups are allowed. And seriously, someone in Japan is offloading a ton of advanced SGI equipment. I would love a Tezro, but I wouldn't love shipping costs from Japan for one.

Re: Recovering an old ST238R 33MB harddrive

Alright, I see what you're saying. It's a different layer of signaling incompatibilities. I guess I should find out what controllers the Model D shipped with any figure narrow down on those, as I'm quite certain my mother never opened the case to change anything.

Re: Recovering an old ST238R 33MB harddrive

Hmm, well, being that it's a Seagate, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a Seagate controller. And it's my understanding that the ST-412 interface has a fixed signaling design.

I guess it's best to be safest. Though I'm not sure where I'll find a Leading Edge Model D.

Recovering an old ST238R 33MB harddrive

I have the harddrive from my mother's old Leading Edge 8088 computer, and I want to recover its contents. So, what am I looking for? From what I can tell, I need an ST-412 controller (all of which seem to be ISA) and a computer with ISA slots available. But I would think this would only get me so fa...

The release version is a bit dated and the main menu can be buggy when played fullscreen, but the game plays great.
