Re: Fuel DMediaPro DM6 PCI Digital Video

Alas no, I know almost nothing about SUN stuff, even though I do have a bunch of SUN systems I keep meaning to sell off when I can find the time.

Re: Fuel DMediaPro DM6 PCI Digital Video

Very true, though mopar's quad-1GHz system is a damn good deal anyway. :D As always though, this stuff boils down to the whacko world of supply and demand. Why sell something cheap when someone else will happily buy it for a lot more? That's just throwing money away. The market sorts itself out in t...

Re: Fuel DMediaPro DM6 PCI Digital Video

Very different, the whole DM3/5/etc. stuff is HD, DM6 is only SD. In terms of cost, the demand is from corps who are using them for specific functions, so it's not like they can swap it out. PCB scanning is one example.

Re: Fuel DMediaPro DM6 PCI Digital Video

I was the guilty buyer; it's already away in a system to be used in industrial process control.

I still don't have a way of testing them though. What was SGI thinking??

Hey Irinikus, started that book yet? :D

Re: Tezro, Quad-R16K/1GHz (16MB L2), 4GB, V12/DM3, RAID

TBH I'm not entirely sure, there are others here who know quite a bit more about Tezro configs than I do. Only thing I would mention about the Tezro rack is noise, mine is rather loud (so I don't use it very often atm): http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16731441 In either case thou...

Re: Announcement - Fuel ATX PSU adapters available for purchase

The F3 has 4x SATA, the T3 has 6x SATA, so it looks like you have the F3. Thanks!

I'm wondering whether the Thermaltake Toughpower units I have would work ok...

Re: Announcement - Fuel ATX PSU adapters available for purchase

Thanks!! I found two variants, the Seasonic SS-500ET-T3 and the Seasonic SS-500ET-F3, which one is your unit?

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: Announcement - Fuel ATX PSU adapters available for purchase

What model of Seasonic? Ideally, the first post in this thread, or somewhere, should maintain a list of known, guaranteed ok PSUs that one can use with the adapters. One problem with nekochan is a lot of relevant info is incredibly fractured, and finding it often difficult due to the way the search ...
