Re: Sun WorkShop Question

Or maybe your Solaris 2.6 is already too "new", means the libs linked against are out of scope.
Double-check with ldd, just in case.

Re: Sun WorkShop Question

xref 1-3 & 5) My CDROM comes in a slightly newer version 4.3 but maybe as useless as your media for Solaris 2.6 20180423_173139.jpg Nevertheless you don't need it. I found my files I used for the RF-HR in my SS20 under Solaris 2.5.1: $ zipinfo Rflex.zip Archive: Rflex.zip 583597 bytes 7 files -...

Re: Sun WorkShop Question

Step by step questions: 0. Did you read the (older) manual which I attached prior (sorry, question have to be ;))? 1. Ist the RF the only SBus card in your U1? 2. Which SBUs slot do you choose (just for my info)? 3. Which jumper settings does the RF has? 4. Did you installed the Solaris 2.6 recommen...

Re: Sun CG12 / GS aka Matrox SG3-1152B graphics accelerator for 3D solid applications

History is interessting to me. :) After looking into dozens of documents and magazines I'm quite sure the Matrox SG3-1152 (Sun GS) and MG-3D Series share the same graphics features, architecture, chips. The SG3-1152 was unveiled by Sun in end of 1990 together with the SS2 (^1) as OEM product, the MG...

I have functional boards for both, so doesn't matter.
It's no urgent need, more a "nice to have".

Re: Sun WorkShop Question

The funny thing is, they will not provide but could. The reason is they still have the older keygen progs but denying to use them even now, more than 20 years after product launch. And even for FD6 (WS6) you have to make clear to Oracle why you will need this old version. I tried and lost, in first ...

Re: Sun WorkShop Question

All it depends on is the major compiler version. What a compiler version do you have? If it's C/C++ 4.2 , then you're a lucky guy. Look here . " Sun WorkShop 4.0 " or better known as " Sun WorkShop for Solaris 2.x " media (CD-ROM) in some cases also was referenced as " Sun ...

Re: NetBSD <= 4.0.1 @ i80386SX - usability ?

Out of curiosity, which version of sshd are you running? Within the Changes document there is OpenSSH 3.7.1 given Apply more malloc fixes from OpenSSH 3.7 -> 3.7.1. Fixes SA#SA2003-012. [christos, no ticket] But if I query the version it's OpenSSH 3.4 I don't installed any updates or fixes which ar...

Re: NetBSD <= 4.0.1 @ i80386SX - usability ?

Thanks for the background, robespierre. Small update... The CPU is recognized as "Intel 386DX", but the system is "only" equipped with 8 MiB of RAM, (...) Could I get in trouble because of that? Is it possible to adjust the settings for a new kernel? (...) Until now I don't know ...
