Re: doomed - use! HTTPS Everywhere - google explained why

I don't proclaim to know anything about http vs https. I don't use facebook, twitter, snapchat etc. I can't stand social media. I generally don't browse a huge amount as the internet has become a massive advertising billboard, and I can't stand advertising. (Don't have a TV either! :) ) However, wit...

Re: O2 R5200 300MHz 384Mb

I think Spyro may still have the plastic cover, somewhere in his stash of stuff. I'll swing by his in the future to see if he's managed to dig it out.

Re: O2 R5200 300MHz 384Mb

Don't have the fan cover, or the metal pull ring for the psu. The machine was an ex demonstration machine to show clients software for modelling shoe last forms and learher cutting patterns I believe. Spyro will know more detail. It has a few rub marks on the av module side where somebody removed a ...

Re: your latest purchase

Correct, but it's not the one I purchased on eBay. The principle is he sent the wrong item. It would be like somebody sending you newer green octane skins when you bought original cube logo ones. The skins still work, they are green octane skins but it's not the item you bought...simple principles i...

Re: your latest purchase

He sold -001 rev C, he sent -003 rev B.

As another member has pointed out, there were historic issues with eBay sellers getting antsy about comments on here so I've removed his eBay store name from my posts.

The board passed diags and I'm keeping it.

Re: your latest purchase

A 300Mhz O2 board, his photo showed the rev with the blue patch wire and different L3 cache layout. His response was very abrupt, finishing with "I never said the picture is what you get". Why the fuck put a photo up then? If you put up a photo of something then that is what you sell. He n...

Re: your latest purchase

Bought a 300mhz O2 cpu module on eBay, asswipe sent me the wrong board (not the same as the photo, even remotely!) so I'm £26 out of pocket on import duties and have to pay to post it back...

EDIT - seller name removed as advised by another member so neko doesn't get hassled.

Network traffic

Could anybody advise how to check for transfer speed (bits or bytes) via ethernet port? I'm busying transferring stuff from my debian NFS server and it's taking for ever, even for a measly 600mb.

Could be either command via debian / irix. Thanks.

Re: Octane1 2x300MHz, 2GB RAM, EMXI

Wow, looks great! Is this the eBay 'paypal will be refunded job?' No, the EZSetup should not have that effect. Just checked my 6.5.30 O2 install, both fonts match. I assume you installed from overlay 1, fed in the other 'disks' and then just went on from there? Try Toolchest -> Desktop -> Customize ...
