Hello,

Thanks for all the information.
In a couple of weeks, my Fuel undergoes the surgery.
I hope that everything goes well. I'll keep you informed.

Re: Fuel - on board network connector failed

I was aslo thinking that way.
However, I like a full working motherboard too. So, I'm looking to some blown fuse.
Because the machine shows ef0 ( 'hinv -vm' and 'configmon - h').

Re: Fuel - on board network connector failed

Hello, The Network connector is shown in hinv. It gives : Integral Fast Ethernet: ef0, version 1, Possible, it became disabled also, and can be enabled using the on board serial connector, which I cannot for the life remember the name now. L1? heck.. Something like that. I'll check this out. However...

Fuel - on board network connector failed

Recently my house was directly stuck with a lightning strike. (I got a lot of damage, like a partly blown roof, broken windows, etc..) Happily, the power-lines for my computers are very well secured, and no psu blowed away. However, My cable network lines where electrically overloaded, and a lot of ...

Re: [Fuel] Both SCSI buses show 15 ghost devices

It was ID conflict. I changed both devices IDs to 1 and it works now. Thank you.

As far as I understand, every SCSI device needs his own unique number.
I think that your HD must be ID #1 and the DVD-ROM #2.

Check also the termination on the SCSI chain.

Re: Music/MP3 player

I use neko_xmms without any problems on my fuel.
I can import predefined equalizer files without problems.

Even webradio works well with it.
(I made a text file with the content of the station, web-link, etc..)

So, for me, xmms is my preferred player.

Re: Fuel - System disk patition

Hello,

I decided to reinstall the OS and repartition the HD.
Installation is to be done over network. Now I got new -other- problems (with sash and fx.64), but no time to solve.

Re: Fuel - System disk patition

That's not the question. I know perfectly what mount means.

I only want to know why IRIX made this partition, or does I made an error in the installation process.
And if IRIX made this partition, what's the reason ?

Hello, after installing all the files of this package :

PACKAGE NAME:
neko_fontconfig
SOURCE/VERSION
fontconfig-2.3.2

my font problems with QCAD and kde are gone.

Before, only the libraries where installed.

Re: Audacity and Pango

Hello, I got also some problems with fontconfig, with KDE and QCAD. In swmgr, verify what's actually installed under fontconfig. I also marked manually the 'executable' to install. After swmgr installed it, I didn't have problems with fontconfig any-more, and KDE or QCAD is just running fine. Mark
