Re: SGI O2 probs...

I remember one time... one of the quickest service calls for an O2 was when one of the "techs" at that company changed a part that we sent, the O2 didn't want to boot anymore. It was still powered off when I showed up. I took a look and gave the motherboard a little push and it slid in tig...

Re: Wounded Indy

Possible that the 68-pin drive that fleetingthought picked up was a Wide-Differential drive that came from a Challenge/Onyx? I dunno.. just a thought. Seagate drives were easier to differentiate with WD incorporated into the model number.

Re: Big mess-up with SGI Fuel...

What color is the light in the front? No longer blinking red? As I was reading this thread, I was thinking that maybe the blinking red was cuz the simms were in banks 1 and 3 as mentioned in the original post which if I recall on the Fuel was the 2nd pair of simms and banks 0 and 2 being the first p...

Re: Error msg: ATTN: PIMM1 VCPU low warning limit reached

Fixed that fan rpm warning message a few years back by changing that rainbow colored ribbon inside the C-brick. Did the same this time and crossing my fingers that it does the trick. Last time was easier to diagnose as the error came up immediately.

Re: Error msg: ATTN: PIMM1 VCPU low warning limit reached

Thanks pierocks... I had guess it would be the cpu or vrms on that CPU causing that error. Won't get the chance until tomorrow to change it. The "fan 0 warning limit reached" error still has me puzzled tho'. The last two occurrences were a month apart and the system is located in a cooled ...

Re: eBay: Iris Crimson

What to do when your Crimson doesn't sell? Why, re-list it at nearly twice the price! That'll teach those stingy bidders for not buying it the first time! (As an aside, I see this kind of behavior a lot lately. Are grade schools no longer teaching the basic laws of supply and demand?) He's raised t...
