Re: Japanese drummers
Poking around a bit and it looks like it's a phrase that has fallen into the general lexicon/patios/vernacular ofJapanese, seems a bit funereal...

Re: Big Red Hourglass Mouse Cursor Infinitely
If it's only on one user's account probably the first thing to look at would be that user's ~/.chestrc and/or ~/ .auxchestrc, fix it/them or delete and the user falls back to /usr/lib/X11/system.chestrc

Re: Luke Dormehl The Apple Revolution
I read Walter Isaacson's Jobs biography and I think I've read everything on folklore, so this'll be next on my reading list, thanks for pointing it out!

Re: mplayer 1.3.0
I don't think I ever posted a patch for the "beta" Mplayer I sent up. It's newer than what's in Neko maninline but probably older than current official Mplayer. LMK if you're still interested. I have to set the Octane back up but that's not a big deal. Like alot of people life (my first k...

In a word, yes. All of these are still available (in one form or another):

Re: WTB skins/plastics
Sure, in fact if you were patient enough you could probably do it with a long vernier and a set of French curves... :P That will take a considerable amount of time to model properly, especially where the interlocking parts ("seams") are. In the future if someone here was to get hold of su...

Re: mplayer 1.3.0
Years ago I used to compile my own version of mplayer .... So here's your opportunity to relive the past  Slight change in direction, definitely seems better to start with something that works and go from there so re-organizing the functioning neko mplayer as a starting point and putting that ...

Re: mplayer 1.3.0
Yes, gcc's extensions to the language are basically the FSF's way of telling the standards committee they should disband and just let RMS be in charge. Years ago I used to compile my own version of mplayer because something they were doing was pissing me off, but I can't remember what it was a...

Re: mplayer 1.3.0
There was a similar explosion of forks (and flame wars) when Jörg Schilling insisted it was a mistake to multithread cdrtools. But in that case, I think he was right. I'm using mplayer 1.2.1-5.3.0 version of 2016 and it works incredibly well on my dual-Xeon linux (and yes, I know hamei is all linux-...

Re: Sun T5220 problem, no POST, no ok prompt
Yes, go with the bare minimum until you find one that works, then add them in until you find the bad one (or ones). We've got an Oracle support contract at my place of employ, if you don't have it working by Monday I can check that support article for you...
