lot of ethernet cards, 10/100 and 1000 Mbps (Western Europe)

I have a few and different net cards; they are all PCI-32bit. Some are brand-new, in their boxes. Some are second hand (of course, tested). I'd like to shift-out the stuff out of my caravan one-shot. As usual, I don't have a decent digital camera  if you are interested, you can send me a PM an...

Re: FireWire/800 to SATA | FC (optic) to SAS/SATA

The Sonnet FW/800 comes with three ports and 1 chip, while my Adaptec FW/800 card comes with two chip and four ports, that means 40Mbyte/port: none of them is acceptable!

I'd best go for SATA multi lane sff-8470, or FC-something

FireWire/800 to SATA | FC (optic) to SAS/SATA

I have developed an external storage device able to provide thousand IOP on both sequential and random r/w accesses with a bandwidth of 120Mbyte/sec per channel, but I had to use the SATA1 interface (under intellectual property copyright for the hardware chip I had to use), and now I have four SATA1...

I can't find info about linuxppc-embedded, linuxppc-dev
(that are directly, and indirectly related to PowerMacs)

Is there any good ML around?

I'd like to study the firewire in detail.
Both software and hardware side.
Are there good Books or papers?

Re: Announcing The IRIX Network

Hear, hear! Hear what? music? Yes, the Internet v2.0 added You-Tube. People feel a closeness to people physically close to them. If you don't feel it, well ... it's not good. We are social animals, and all of these online activities offered by the Internet v2.0 (facebook, twitter, kik, etc) do sign...

yes, it was linux v2.6.39 and v4.16.0, and it was also in my plan for Irix v6.5.27.
I have a fw400 card in my Tezro-rack-brick. But I won't try. It doesn't look a good idea.

Re: Announcing The IRIX Network

You know what? We said we wanted *evolution*, and the internet v1.0 was a great big hit. We have all worked to create the internet v1.1 and believed it was a good step ahead for the human race, and now we are supposed to thanks a few assholes for bringing this dream to a bitter end. The internet v2....

Intuition had asked Pretty impressive stack of hardware. Though.... is it $4k worth? Feedback? And my feedback confirmed that 4K USD is worth it. At least compared to what I paid. You have TWO Tezro's Two Tezro Rack bricks ! In a mini rack for a specific purpose, and I am also paid for it. .. surley...

if we *trust* what it's written on the box, it's "1394 to ATA adapter", and the adapter is made to accommodate a mini 2.5" hard drive. with a modern Kernel 4.16.0 (compiled with SBP2_DEBUG=1): sd 4:0:0:0: [sda] tag#0 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x03 driverbyte=0x00 sd 4:0:0:0: [s...

Re: $4k LOT of SGI. Florida, USA, Tezro, Onyx, Octanes. [Ebay] Not Mine

is it $4k worth? The only SGIs I have are two Tezro rack bricks in a mini-rack with a SATA mini Array of 4 hard drives. I paid for the whole something like ~1.5K euro. It's used to process signals from a radio telescope. And it's interesting for the NUMA approach, plus a few scientific SGI-software...
