Getting back on track - narrowing down projects

Hi guys, I'm slowly getting back on track. Sometimes you just rationally know that what you had is very hard to replace, even though new things always come in life and time heals it all. Psychiatrist (who looks like a shaved Freud), Yoga, trying to learn how to meditate. I quit one band (out of thre...

Re: For sale: late 2005 15 inch PowerBook G4

Thanks guys.

I should meet my grandparents in Portugal in July. I need to enjoy the last opportunities to travel with them. =)

The PowerBook will also go on eBay.

Re: To sale: IBM IntelliStation 285

Going on eBay. Hopefully I will manage to sell it. These machines go for 2000 EUR, it's insane. I wonder who buys them.

For sale: late 2005 15 inch PowerBook G4

Hi guys, I've had a psychological breakdown and lost the love of my life, and came to realize I have too many things I don't use often. Thus I wish to get rid of most things I don't actually use often. =) For 200 EUR + shipping (European Union only), I offer a late 2005 15 inch PowerBook G4. I will ...

DHL would do, though. There's an office not far from my place.
I paid 185 Euro to have it shipped from the Netherlands when I bought it.

And of course, if you don't take the original box, then I could ship chassis separately from the power supply, hard drives and other accessories.

To sale: IBM IntelliStation 285

Hi guys, My IntelliStation doesn't see as much use as it deserves, so I'm willing to let it go for 350 Euro (special Nekochan price), including the following upgrades: - Ultrium 2 internal OEM tape device installed (I will include my tapes with it, not sure how many of them work). - 8GB of brand new...

Re: IBM T221 killed by incompetence - one more for packing stuff properly

The seller returned from the ashes. He said he had been in hospital and asked me to ship the broken display back. I told him I'm happy to do so if he pays shipping. I guess that's fair right? Assuming he really was in hospital... Otherwise I'd just keep it. I haven't had time to look deeply into it,...

Re: IBM T221 killed by incompetence - one more for packing stuff properly

Hamei, there's more... It will happily take a 12Hz and a 48Hz input and sync each half of the screen at a different rate, whilst outputting 41 or 48 Hz. I've tried that. =) Also it will do one half of the screen scaled and the other half unscaled if required. The scaler in indeed brilliant. Dependin...

Re: IBM T221 killed by incompetence - one more for packing stuff properly

It is, it is, but I have what may be a better suggestion ? Take that one apart since it's already badly broken, document the process, and figure out what the backlight is ? And how to get in there and replace one ? That would be a service to all the T221 owners around. But if you want to sell the e...

Re: IBM T221 killed by incompetence - one more for packing stuff properly

Guys, "happy end"! The seller stopped replying completely, and eBay refunded me completely, including shipping, and I don't need to ship the screen back. I think the new one I ordered from Canada is already waiting for me at customs. @hamei: I remember you mentioned your screen is a bit di...

Re: info about PowerMacs

Low End Mac has facebook groups. I'm not on facebook so I don't know how they go.
The e-mail lists were very nice. Now they are mostly silent but seldom you see a message or two.
If you write, usually there's an answer.

Re: Adaptec 2100s? (SCSI)

When I last looked at this, the Adaptec cards for Macs had different name (PowerDomain), and different firmware.
You could re-flash them as far as I remember.

There used to be Mac equivalent of most Adaptec cards.
