Re: Would you like some Java with that JavaStation?

Sorry about that! My Bad. I don't now, I will only find that out once I'm able to power one up. The only person here who would know is moid, as he has a JavaStation with a power supply. The second unit that I bought came with a manual, but the machine as well as it's manual is in Cape Town an...

Re: Would you like some Java with that JavaStation?

The AC input is rated between 110V and 240V 50/60Hz, so it's compatible with our 220V AC Power Supply. Like most other modern computer equipment.

Re: Would you like some Java with that JavaStation?

I've finally managed to buy a power supply for my JavaStation! :D It's on its way from Germany via the postal service, so it will take quite a while to get here, as our local postal service sucks! I can't wait to fire one of these units up to see how it operates! I will probably end up by using one ...

My O2 R12K 400MHz is also clocking at 401MHz, that’s interesting! (Very nice system buy the way!)

Re: Looking for O2 R5000

Metal sintering would be the best solution, but the bendy tabs would have to be replaced by well designed mechanical clasps. Another solution, would be die-casting aluminium, that would also be an extremely expensive process, but it sure would look great though! Somebody would have to create a detai...

Re: Looking for O2 R5000

What you need to make use of is on of those 3D printers that make use of powder deposition to enable you to print accurately, without needing supports, as the powder supports the model being printed. This is what you need: http://www.fabbaloo.com/blog/2017/4/26/the-cometrue-t10-color-3d-printer

Re: Looking for O2 R5000

All I can say is that those who buy beat-up systems off ebay and then end up getting stuff from me to build it up to something decent often end up spending more than if they'd just bought a complete system from me in the first place (so the owners of such systems tell me). I can attest to this, as ...

Re: TEZRO WANTED please

The Onyx2 is ridiculous when it runs in fastfan mode! (Still a rather low-pitch noise, but loud) It would be difficult to use the machine for anything productive, while sitting in the same room, with it running in fastfan mode. It's a very cool machine though and it's built like a tank. (It's a &quo...

Re: TEZRO WANTED please

Not quiet but very tolerable. A somewhat mechanical humming noise, for as long as it doesn't go into 'fastfan' mode at least. It would probably shred anything that accidentally fell in. Including your fingers  I wonder why SGI moved away from centrifugal blowers such as this in their large ma...

Re: TEZRO WANTED please

I gotcha. I guess I just expected it to be the other way around. The Onyx2 makes use of 9 fairly large fans situated in a fan-tray, and the standard (non-quad 1GHz) Tezro has 9 fans inside it of varying sizes, if you include the fan inside the power supply. (This creates a high pitch noise.) IMG_28...

Re: TEZRO WANTED please

The Tezro has a high pitch fan noise, which can be quite annoying. The Onyx2 although also loud, has a lower pitch fan noise, which isn't as irritating.

Re: Things to buy....

Yeah, HP also make one, as do NEC. Problem is that they're very expensive, and 2560x1600 is only pretty average by today's standards. It's good that a few professional 16:10 screens are still made, I just wish someone would do a 30" 16:10 4k screen... I know this is absolutely retarded, but yo...
