Re: Personal Iris power supply fuses

Thanks Pentium! Great help. After testing, only the top (daughterboard) fuse blew. In my hacky attempt to troubleshoot a DOA powersupply, I shorted the power switch with a paperclip (thinking maybe the switch was faulty) and it touched the metal case and sparked. Case was empty, except for the power...

Eye of the Beholder works well if you like AD&D RPGs.
Myst works too.

Re: dunelegacy game compiles but dumps core

There must be something going wrong on my side if I only get 2 frames: (gdb) bt #0 0x00000000 in ?? () #1 0x00000000 in ?? () Previous frame identical to this frame (corrupt stack?) (gdb) thread apply all bt (gdb) Not to mention that the entire source code to step through in gdb is from a libstdc++ ...

Personal Iris power supply fuses

From here:
http://www.sgistuff.net/hardware/systems/personal.html
"One fuse is on the small daughtercard, the other is next to that card and usually covered with a blue plastic cap"

Does anyone know the part#/model of fuses to use? Maybe somewhere to buy them online?

Thanks

Re: dunelegacy game compiles but dumps core

Another core dump.. seems it shows different parts of code each time. Usually it has bits of memcmp or memmove showing. (gdb) frame 0 #0 0x00000000 in ?? () (gdb) list 260 length(const char_type* __s) 261 { return __builtin_strlen(__s); } 262 263 static const char_type* 264 find(const char_type* __s...

Re: Good starter machine?

My favorite SUN workstation is the SUN Ultra 2 and would make a great useful workstation for someone wanting to experience what SUN was all about. Dual CPUs up to 400mhz (same CPU that is in the E250's btw), get a good 24bit video with high resolution (1920x1200) with a special card, takes SCA SCSI ...

dunelegacy game compiles but dumps core

I am hoping someone far better than I am at this could help identify why dunelegacy is core dumping quickly on start. Here is the situation: With a few hacks (which may very cause their own problems), I was able to successfully compile dunelegacy 0.96.2 with gcc4.. but it coredumps before loading th...

Re: Visual SlickEdit Trial for IRIX

You can try asking their support (free signup/login) if you can purchase the 99$ one and get an older Linux v12 license. Only seems fair to pay less for a many year-old version on a dead (commercially) platform. I did purchase the pro.. with the hope I could at least get the latest Solaris/SPARC ver...

ScummVM version 2.0 avail for IRIX (12/2017)

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on nekoware...

Latest version of ScummVM 2.0 was built by the team around 12/2017:

Re: Visual SlickEdit Trial for IRIX

I still have not dug deep into using SlickEdit. I got used to using ~20 open VI sessions over the years.

The color scheme of black/dark may not be to everyone's liking.... but its configurable. The default is a white background with darker colored text.

Re: rqsfiles to forget about a library?

Well, here is where I am stuck with this rqs stuff. (at least I am assuming its rqs related) I had glib from canavan's latest beta installed.. along with a beta of gimp too. So I downgraded (ignoring conflicts) just glib to nekoware's stable version (to which I was copying files from a backup I had ...

Re: Visual SlickEdit Trial for IRIX

Yup. I just bought/paid for a license from slickedit. They were more than happy to deliver something for IRIX, even if it is an older version. You just buy anything like their Solaris version.. then open a support case to get a v12 license for IRIX. I wish other companies would still be open to sell...

rqsfiles to forget about a library?

I installed some nekoware beta packages a few months ago and they broke some apps. Out of memory errors in GIMP (creating a new large image.. like with 3000x3000 pixels,etc..), or anything using glib-2.0 (firefox too.. it runs but crashes eventually if a site is large), sylfilter fails to do its wor...
