Re: FireFox 3.0 building blues, new software requests

I actually considered Oolite and it looks like it shouldn't be too difficult to do a port. I will have to download the Windows version first to see if I like it. Right now I am trying to get qt4 and webkit working OK to build the browser QTweb since I was running into too many compiler issues to get...

Re: Digital Unix Alpha Software Product Library - download now!

Well I just did a quick test to see if I put my foot in my mouth based on my previous post! I used a windows 10 tar/gzip program to extract the three iso images,shell script and read.me file. I mounted disk 1 and extracted the directory dfa520 (the fortran compiler). I tarred it up and ftp it to the...

Re: Digital Unix Alpha Software Product Library - download now!

No need to a get a cdr recorder! I built the iso images with Joliet and Rock Ridge support so the images can be directly mounted by a Windows 10 machine. Simply using readily available software you can tar and gzip a directory of interest to you and the ftp the result to your tru64 machine.

I have the full January 1999 Digital Unix Software Product Library (three cd's). This basically was all the Digital branded software you could purchase from Dec in 1999. I just created a torrent so anyone can download the stuff. I also included a script to generate and install hobbyist licenses for ...

Re: looking for C++ compiler version 6.5 or 7.1

The Software Products Library disks are recorded with only the Unix file system so are unreadable on Windows 10. If someone could tell how to make an iso image from a CD with only a Unix file system (unreadable under Windows) with Windows 10 I would do it. The other possibility is if someone could t...

Re: looking for C++ compiler version 6.5 or 7.1

tru64 C++ compiler

Anyone have a copy of tru64 c++ compiler later than version 6.1? Compaq used to have versions up to 6.5 freely downloaded but that site has long been taken down.

Re: Tru64 C++ license

A quick question ... I just found a site with title "All tru64 5.1b licenses!" I run down the list and I see "OSF-DEV" and "OSF-DEV-USER". Is this the proper license to run C++ compiler ie ccc?
