Re: your latest purchase

Is it an AT or ATX PSU or some sort of proprietary?

If I were you I would get a machine shop to weld those holes shut and then you can respray it with some beige paint and retrobrite the plastics - make it look like new.

Re: Car Talk

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon isn't too bad if you need an off-roader. Cheap interior, poor panel fitment and overall just crap quality for a small off-road SUV. All of the AMC-based Jeeps around here that are still running have tons of rust on them and often times broke 4WD. The Chrysler ones just haven't...

I have some. Supportfolio has been offline for some time for IRIX users. Others here can probably help too. What patch do you want?

No, it isn't necessary. It's a precaution I've never had to take with Japanese electronics.

Re: your latest purchase

I bought a NEC PC-98. Still waiting for it to arrive at the middleman warehouse (the keyboard I bought separately already did) so I can ship it. I don't even have a voltage step-down converter to use it yet but at least it has built in VGA so I can use it with my NEC LCD monitor... 9801 or 9821? Yo...

Re: WTB SGI Fuel Case only

Dream on. These cases are fragile as hell, rarer than Hen's teeth in good shape and we consider mutilation of these rare computers into personal projects to be in extremely poor taste.

Re: This forum is super nostalgic :D

There's a time and place for every static language, website style and dynamic language. The fundamental issue with modern sites like Facebook is the tasteless use of hundreds of thousands of lines of JS, and too much tracking information embedded. There is a time for static HTML and basic CSS, there...

Re: Car Talk

I didn't hear the alarm because I disconnected it's power the first thing I got the car towed home. It had a loud looking siren, though. I kept that for obvious reasons, I could potentially use that elsewhere. I plan to have the dash out of the car at least once, so I'll make it a priority to survey...

Re: O350 Quad 700MHz Node Board

I'm set on these...doesn't everyone with a Tezro or O350 have one or two of these in their closets? But I want to ask, 8mb cache or 4mb cache? Also don't hesitate to buy from the Raion-Fox, he stands behind his transactions. I don't know how to tell. 030-1812-002 Rev C suggests 8 from a quick googl...
