Re: non SGI related, tons of blade servers and cisco gear

Fibre channel arrays too. Not sure if i can get them to work with sgi equipment. I do not know what the connector on the back is or if it can be adapted to connect to my sgi onyx or octane. Last picture shows the connector. There are many of the arrays if someone else wants one too. 20180120_141803....

Re: WTB: Powerbook G4, 12in / 1.5GHz

Re: Maintaining Hardware / fesability of keeping hardware running

I have to say, i have been working om my pdp 11/34 over the weekend, and the documentation is excellent. I have a full print set. everything. every circuit in the machine is laid out and documented.I was able to disassemble and manually repair the power supply. The manuals go a long way when trying ...

non SGI related, tons of blade servers and cisco gear

Not sgi related, but i figured I would list some of this stuff here because it is quite new, compared to a lot of the older equipment I am used to working with. I am still cataloging it all, if you see anything of potential interest tell me and i can get some more info and pictures. At the scrapyard...

sgi shutter shades?

I have two pairs of shutter shades that I have not done anything with. I am not familiar with any of the present 3d video distribution formats. Blu ray disks seem to be how they are distributed. I dont see any mention of dvd. I am not sure if my hardware would even be able to play blu ray quality vi...

Re: Indigo 2 Hardware Dilemma!!! :(

Seller probally does not want bad feedback or to pay return shipping, id say try to keep it if you can get it at a bargin price or free. If you send it back its probally going to be thrown out and the memory and sleds are still worth something. Id be more than happy to send you a spare drive for the...

That sounds interesting, I already have a good chunk of what is on the main ftp here locally it would not take much more downloading to get the whole thing. How would i go about mirroring the forum and articles?

status:Gone off the deep end and started co locating sgi gear around town

Been a while since i posted here, been quite busy. Figured i would post about my most recent project with sgi gear. I have been in the process of setting up my sgi onyx and origin servers between my two jobs. One is installed at the scrapyard, the other, at the arcade. I think the best part is that ...

Re: WTB: Powerbook G4, 12in / 1.5GHz

I have a working one that is dinged and scratched and beat to hell, but is otherwise fully functional aside from cosmetic issues. If that would be of potential interest to you, let me know. There were a bunch of them dropped off at my scrapyard job from a local church, they were using them till rece...

Re: Maintaining Hardware / fesability of keeping hardware running

I took a bit of a vacation and have a bit of a clearer head now. Ditched my old crummy job, it gave me lots of free time to troubleshoot the problems i was having and get things back on track. I thank everyone here for the advice. I was having a real bad day with both my onyx machines developing iss...
