Re: FS: O2000/onyx2 wheel base

I posted looking for one of these a while back for my onyx 2. I had no luck finding one. I imagine shipping it to the US would be quite expensive. Contact me as a last resort if you cant find a buyer and ill look into what it would cost to ship.

Re: WANTED: Indy

I picked up the two I have for $80 + shipping off Craigslist. They came with some nice matching external tape and cd drive enclosures.

They are not too expensive in my opinion. I would not pay more than $50-100 myself, they are pretty basic compared to the other bigger machines.

Re: Wanted: Octane

I may have one I can sell to you, i have many spares. I can get back to you with the specs. You mentioned an interest in ibm gear as well, would a ibm as/400 with a terminal be of interest to you? Shipping on the last octane ran around $100. If you have interest in the as/400, local pickup or freigh...

Re: Tezro wanted

I have not gotten much use of my second tezro. I ran into an issue where my monitors were displaying out of range, so i was using them in a headless manner with a terminal attached. I can fire them both up, get a hardware inventory, and see if either would be of interest to you. I know for sure that...

Re: Weight of a SGI Onyx Terminator / Moving suggestions

Getting a 3 phase outlet insalled is the next step. No clue where my camera charger went, my cell phone pictures come out blurry. It was a big job getting it moved. My van is not running the best, I almost was not able to make the trip and had to delay over a starter issue. Angry noises would happen...

Re: Bent pins on Octane front plane

the octanes are pretty common you can just replace that bad supply with a good one easy enough. its not like some of the bigger hatdware like the crimson where the parts are hard to find.

Re: Weight of a SGI Onyx Terminator / Moving suggestions

I don't have a trailer with a ramp or a truck with a lift gate available at the moment. A liftgate for the van is something I want to get down the line, its a pretty expensive addon. I have a ton of the anti static bags that the boards for my onyx2 came in, and a lot of antistatic wrap. I dont want ...

Re: SGI Onyx 10000 - memory and serial issues

I think i am just going to let it be and not risk destroying a part i can possibly not replace.

I have to set the time date and boot options. i can live with that.

Weight of a SGI Onyx Terminator / Moving suggestions

Alright, getting close to the time i need to move the terminator rack. I have no lift gate on the van, so it certainly is not going to be lifted and put in there upright. How heavy is one of these? The plan is to tip it over and slide it into the van. Worked with my pdp 11 rack, but i think this cou...

Re: SGI Onyx 10000 - memory and serial issues

Alright, not sure where the issue was, i moved the machine to another room and reconnected the vt100 and It is working as intended, although still with the memory errors. Fixed couple of boot options in the prom, and it boots, to a working install from the Florida State University. Need to remove th...
