Re: How frequently you use your SGI (in 2017)?

I ended up using a Tezro rarely because of the following: 1) The noise while running is too loud to keep the machine anywhere near me, and it's too heavy so I can't keep it around in a visible place even when turned off 2) The software support for IRIX simply didn't keep the pace and many projects d...

Re: Connecting to nekochan repository?

For installing Nekoware packages with automatic dependency resolution, you could also check out http://techpubs.spinlocksolutions.com/i ... installer/

You might just want to specify an alternate Nekoware mirror with the -m option, if the default Nekochan mirror is too slow for you.

Re: Octane2, 2x400MHz, 8GB, VPro V12

I bought the book for 3 EUR + shipping. There are relatively few around (used books), but are cheap. In mine, the seller even missed to notice that the book does contain the original CD-Rom on the inside of the back cover, maybe that reduced the price, not sure. (The CD-Rom was there but it was turn...

Re: Tezro for sale in the Netherlands (Not mine)

For some reason, on the cheaper one he did not show the back side of the machine. Probably it has fewer/none of the cards?

Also, he didn't list the specs on either machine, yet he somehow decided that the other one (with no back side picture) is 450 EUR cheaper.

Re: Talos Secure Workstation

It seems to me they managed to bring the pricing down to some more mass-market-acceptable levels this time. Navigating through the Talos II website, the following appear to be the prices: Talos™ II Secure Workstation with 1 CPU - $4,750.00 Talos™ II Rack Mount Development Platform with 1 CPU - $5,10...

I seem to remember something like the error msg you reported.

Did you try moving your extracted files into the directory /CDROM and running the install from there?

I've search through the forum and found little. Maybe we need a sticky thread or something for icons. I've ported some stuff and can't find icons (like the latest version of xchat) Where does one find icon files? :D Hey, Some of the links to icon files can be found at the bottom of: http://www.neko...

Re: Setting up lightpptd on IRIX 6.5

I also keep putting off creating a proper symlink so i can call things in /usr/nekoware bin. I have not been able to read the documentation for lighttpd either. again, i think i need to make a sym link to the man pages or something, but i am not sure.
