Re: SGI 320/540 Win2k drivers

Those files weren't on the CD's unfortunately. CD's only had NT351 drivers.

I'm pretty sure I have the PROM1_005.exe and sgi_ssk.exe in my archives somewhere. Will try and dig them out, the other two don't look familiar though :(.

Re: Was this PCI-X card used in SGI Flame/Smoke systems ?

Talk about stereotyping. As a proud 540/320 owner I take offence to being lumped in the same camp as Itanium! just cuz it got 'intel inside' don't make us all the same ya know. Well, I can't go into finite details on this.. but 'intel inside..' means intel inside..  I'm asto...

Re: Track ball mounted on keyboard (PS/2)

There might be better 'space saving' options like an IBM 6357 (space saver/traveller) which is essentially a laptop keyboard (thinkpad o.0) with PS/2 connections. Lenovo still sells these things brand-new and they are still highly regarded. Don't know if the newest model works with the cheap USB/PS...

Re: Track ball mounted on keyboard (PS/2)

I have one of those...somewhere. Came from a Compaq laptop (486). The one I had would clip into the base of a cradle which connected to the side of the laptop. It wasn't compatible with any other laptops I had at the time, and only seemed to work with the original compaq. I have no idea where it is ...

Re: PowerPC Macs - Are They Still Useful?

The British equivalent of that would probably be in the region of 200,000 Air Riffle pellets That sounds rather dangerous. I hope you have a license for the rifle and the plastic ammo. Ideally you should pick up your 'discharged' rubbish afterwards as is could be dangerous for the environment. G5 s...

Re: [Exchange] o2 white camera -> o2 blue camera

My missunderstanding. I too (now) did not know there were two o2 cams. The later one certainly does look a more violent, sexual 'shade of grey' I have probably seen many 'granite' o2 cams for sale, but may not have seen a charcol one then o.0. A lot would have been happening in the webcam worl...

Re: The Problem with Apple

OSX Lion was hardcoded not to install on a colleagues 2009 unibody MacBook with better specs than my Aluminium MacBook, blatant built-in obsolesce? That doesn't sound right. All 2009 MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and MacBook Airs can run Lion, with most able to run all the way to El Capitan, and the late...

Re: [Exchange] o2 white camera -> o2 blue camera

Still looking for that camera. But now have a question: does anybody see this camera in real life (I mean, charcoal color)? I look at eBay, Google Image search and so on, and found this camera only in Nekochan's Wiki page. Yes they definately existed! they used to be on ebay all the time. The 'grey...
