If you're handy with a multimeter, here's some info that might get you going: Hard drive molex have 12V (usually yellow) , 5V (red) and Ground (black) - try continuity testing those with the power supply socket on the motherboard - with a bit of luck you might be able to identify the 12V,5V and Grou...

I do have it in my backlog to create a map of DS1780 chips to the signals they monitor (voltages AND fans), haven't had time for that yet - it will eventually happen :)
