Re: low level format with FX - SOLVED

hey thank you to everyone for the good ideas and the help! I finally could manage it changing the block size of the IBM FC drives from 524 bytes to 'usefull' 512 bytes by using sg3_utils. sgi_Zx10.jpg It took some time to get the sg3_utils working on my sgi Zx10 test system. I used CentOS 4.9 i386 o...

Re: low level format with FX

Hi jwhat, sorry no way, going one after a another: 1. IBM tools for IBM FC drives do not exist any more, since IBM does no hardware anymore. It disappeared from the IBM website/ftp. 2. sg3_utils gave me an error, when I tried to change the blocksize of one FC drive IBM-SSG H0BE146 A00E peripheral_ty...

low level format with FX - SOLVED

I have a question about 'fx' in irix. How can I 'low level format' an extra harddrive (fibrechannel) and is it possible to change the blocksize of the drive? I try to use IBM SAN drives in a SGI D-brick. The drives have an unusable blocksize (not 512). Do I need to boot the installation tools for ge...

Re: Intergraph GLZ1 OpenGL Card (SMT299 + SMT303)

ok, it is not the correct category here in nekochan (bazaar), so I will keep it short. The TDZ-2000 RealiZmII is a so called 'TDZ-2000 Classic', that was released before the GX1, GT1 and GL2. It has a unique motherboard, made by Intergraph and a similar chassis layout like the GT1 (different to GX1 ...

Re: Intergraph GLZ1 OpenGL Card (MSMT299)

What driver are you using with your GLZ2? It should be the same, the GLZ1 would work. Is it a generic version? I have here on a TDZ-2000 Classic workstation with a dual RealiZmII VX113 with Lynx 4 Geo board running. I believe this was the original setup. The RealiZmII is holding texture RAM. inside ...

Intergraph GLZ1 OpenGL Card (SMT299 + SMT303)

Hello there, meanwhile I did find in my storage, aside the Studio Z workstation I already offer here, a historic OpenGL card. It is an Intergraph GLZ1 (SMT299 + SMT303) . Since I cannot test the card cause of missing drivers, I offer it for EUR 150,- without any garanty. There is also a keyboard fro...

Re: Intergraph Studio Z workstation for sale

Dear GL1zdA, the Studio Z was once released for Softimgae|DS. Here you can check the configurations, that where 'originally' supported, anyway a mixture might also work in 'between'. http://aviddssupport.avid.com/legacy/Configuration/SupportedSystems.htm However, since I have several parts for Studi...
