Re: Multilink LED orange or green but never works

http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16729338&p=7376443&hilit=octane+mla#p7376443 I think there is more somewhere else though. It appears this mod, is to stop Irix changing the resolution as it stops auto detecting the screen, so maybe, it won't help you, me thinks.

Re: Multilink LED orange or green but never works

I have DVI cable that I used when trying to get an MLA to work on an Octane, now if I recall correctly, I had to remove two pins from the plug. I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue you have and I don't have the cables at home, but it may help if you search Octane + MLA? It could be...

Re: Irix 6.5 partition recovery, please help

An update on this: kysioo sent me a few dd images, of which I have spent the last few days trying to dd back to a drive (well a few actually), with zero results, it almost seems like there was nothing at all on the drive at the time of the dd. I've also run fdisk -lu to get the image partition infor...

Re: James Bond…

Live and Let Die was my fav bond movie, possible because of that 70s look and great music by wings.

I also remember the 8bit game James Pond, which always makes me chuckle somewhat when thinking of Bond films..

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

Yes I saw you had that issue in your comp post. I am though, and obviously it no guarantee, hear my drive spin up. I think tomorrow, I will take the drive apart, see what it's doing, then a trip in the loft, actually I may do that tonight. I'm in no rush, and I'm not spending a fortune on it, and so...

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

There are a couple of controller boards on ebay for next to nothing, but then if they don't work, then it's just wasted. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IBM-72-Pin-MCA-ESDI-Internal-Hard-drive-Controller-/152526774199?hash=item23834ddfb7:g:5Z8AAOSwdGFYrxX0 I think I will have to visit my loft and see what...

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

It arrived today, cute little business like machine.. Usual 161, 162 errors. Download and created Reference disks and away I went.... well nearly. First disk got to the setup phase and then half way through restoring it's configuration suffered a read error on the disk. Only choice was cancel. Every...

Re: SGI Power Supply Tester

PS2 Mouse separate, PS/2 Keyboard separate IN --TO-- USB OUT (have a similar adaptor for my IBM Power InteliStation that you plug in a PS/2 keyboard in one cable, and a PS/2 mouse in the other that should come out as a USB.. but it doesn't work). PS/2 to USB I think is somewhat of a commodity; at l...

Re: SGI Power Supply Tester

This is great, and this is what I would want in THE ultimate adaptor.. Just my needs really and I do have many adaptors, but these have eluded me. SUN (Type 6 below? None USB & Keyboard and Mouse in one) IN --TO-- PS/2 / USB OUT. The SUN keyboard 5/6 is a really neat keyboard, if a little soft a...

Re: What Apple hardware do we have?

My daughter gave me her old iPhone (iPhone 6 I think.. it big anyway) a month back, she said, Father, I'm sick of seeing you with a plaster holding your phone together..

I dropped it a week later.. and the screen smashed FFS!! I can't show her, I'll end up on the Jeremy Kyle show.
