Re: rdesktop 1.8.3

Nice one Trippynet, I'm hopeful for 24bit colour ? I've been doing some research into this. In short, it's not an rdesktop issue. The problem is that 24bit support was retired by MS in RDP from Vista/Server 2008 onwards. Only 16bit and 32bit are supported (well, technically Vista and 2008 support 8...

Re: What's missing? Drivers? Fibre Cards

Thanks Hoffman, I read through this, it seems I still have problems and missing few parts.. like I don't have compatible versions and I'd need a LINUX machine to be the host.

I then went on to look for an older version, so still fingers crossed. Thanks though.

Re: Looking for good software For PPC macs

My final year of secondary school in the UK was 1999. At this time, our main computer lab was still filled with Acorn Archimedes A3000/A3020s. There were half a dozen PCs in the library, plus a few 486s in the music room - that was it. Schools in the UK tended not to invest much in IT. You must be ...

Re: Article: The Coming Software Apocalypse

Humans are human, we can't think of everything, even lots of us put together, although the first story was rather short sighted on the developers side since they had a no catch. Saying that, that's as far as read, it seemed like doom and gloom I've got hindsight type of story.

Re: Cobalt raq3i

I am afraid not. There is a small hole in the front that accepts a bent paperclip to reset the admin password. The raq2 manual has some screen-shots of the server management interface that might help to access the server settings. Although support was dropped a long time ago, it's hard to believe t...

Re: Best workstation to start with?

Hamie old chap I expected nothing less, BUT!! I agree with Classic on this regarding the o2, because the o2 is positioned as an easy starter. Yes they are brittle, yes they don't start up sometimes (see my previous rants), but nor doe does the Octane which also act like a wife who you've upset for ...
