Re: Octane/Octane2 Flame/Dmedia (CList LA) not me.

The machine on the left Octane 1.. is a PAL/NTSC system.. little to do with the XT-DIGVID system that has the DM2.. That's an OK input BTW.. and a good starting machine, works fine with early SMOKE/FLAME.. The Other one, machine on the right I reckon twin FC because of the offset of the port we can ...

Re: Dual R10K Octane and "current" MIPS64 Linux

Do we want loonix on an Octane? I'm happy with any "current" OS on (my) vintage machines, so me at least wants it, yes! :-P You're right Johnnym.. and if they got all the bell and whistles working, I'd give it a go.. I did a slackware install of 12 today on a P4 and it brought back good m...

Re: Minor problems with my Octane and IRIX 6.5

The only color that still works on my Octane lightbar is red; had it on my todo list to implement the fix for about 11 years now. My three Octanes have Red White and Blue light panels.. I put a pic up here once.. Now though Mr Blue has been replaced with Mr Tezro.. so looks less cool and rea...

Re: THIS IS THE NEW BOEING 777. And this is the box it came in.

I have an A3 SCSI scanner in my loft.. or maybe an A2.. it's bloody big anyway. Is that the Epson GT-12000 Scanner? I've got an HP ScanJet 6300C scanner, also SCSI, it's big but not as big as the Epson...  I think it is an Epson, 99% sure, but I'd have to go up the loft to confirm. O...

Re: Minor problems with my Octane and IRIX 6.5

What colour is the bulb inside the lightbar? As for the RAD error on shutdown, I get sometimes, I don't think it's anything to worry about. I'm unsure if it's caused by using ADAT or Analog audio. The Octane I get the message on, is used for receiving both the above, and I don't know which causes it...

Re: Soooo, what OS for a Macbook Pro replacement

I tried Mint with my parents.. seemed the easiest after a lot of testing.. they are in their 80s and couldn't cope so they are back using windows..

But Mint is quite nice.. Heck I'm not a fan of Looonix.. but it seemed ok to me.

VBOB Wiki

http://www.nekochan.net/wiki/VBOB According to Discreet documentation, SGI did away with the requirement for a DM5 to require a DCD in Tezro. Instead they opted for a DVI Splitter. This does NOT mean you cannot use a DCD, it just means there is an alternative. TezroDCD.jpg TezroVBOB.jpg

Re: O2 and Octane crash when network is connected

One could also try, booting it up and configuring the network correctly via System Manager from the toolbox and I'd also remove that usr2 mount from /etc/fstab

BTW, I'm really only looking at the o2 to start with.
