Re: "Intergraph ZX10" problem with AGP Pro / Wildcat 7110

The Wildcat4 7110 is AGP Pro 50 so it should get enough power from the board. But I'm not sure the board can supply the correct voltage. I think the Wildcat4 might need 1.5V and the board supplies 3.3V.

Re: How frequently you use your SGI (in 2017)?

Not much really. I try to make sure they still work every year. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, work with my retro-computers has low priority. I'm still actively reading about these things but can't really spend more then few hours a month physically interacting with them.

What's a "System Integrator's Guide"

Does anyone know what content to expect in a Silicon Graphics Elan/XS-V Graphics System Integrator's Guide? How to install the subsystem into a workstation? How to integrate it with your own hardware?

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

There are a couple of controller boards on ebay for next to nothing, but then if they don't work, then it's just wasted. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IBM-72-Pin-MCA-ESDI-Internal-Hard-drive-Controller-/152526774199?hash=item23834ddfb7:g:5Z8AAOSwdGFYrxX0 I think I will have to visit my loft and see wha...

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

Most of the DBA drives I've tried won't spin-up and nothing helps. If you can't find any replacement, you can experiment with an additional MCA SCSI controller, it was one of the possible solutions when I had the same problem 7 years ago: PS/2 70 and SCSI-2 Adapter /A . Try searching in comp.sys.ibm...

Re: Too many beers? IBM PS/2 Model 70 MCA

I burned a lot of money before I've got a working DBA drive for the PS/70. It's probably the oldest computer in my collection, currently running OS/2 2.0.

I suppose we'll see Xeon Superdomes soon.

Superdome X machines are already available.

A collection of assorted VW320/540 files. Would it be possible to upload them somewhere on Nekochan?
