Re: MIPSpro: Signal: Segmentation fault in Scope Setup pha

Good job, tovarich!

Lol -- yeah, that's all tounge-in-cheek.

Please test and report when the files are avail. -- I've been working on MPlayer for at least 60+ days (skateboarding injury).

Re: MIPSpro: Signal: Segmentation fault in Scope Setup pha

I'm going to U/L an optimized MPlayer 1.1.1 w/some additional libs shortly to my FTP. I need some testers. One Nekochanner is on board -- I'd like some additional volunteers to run this through the gauntlet.

Re: 13W3 "dipswitch" cable

No cable will strip the embedded sync signals from the green channel (or any other channel for that matter). So even if the monitor syncs to a separate sync signal (courtesy of the dip switches) it must ignore the embedded SOG or you will end up with a greenish looking picture. Roger++ -- This cabl...

Re: 13W3 "dipswitch" cable

Is this 13W3 cable smart enough to work with a non-SOG monitor?

Yes, but the cable is not a SOG converter. If your SGI can produce a composite sync signal, this cable can route this signal to the appropriate VGA counterpart.

Re: 13W3 "dipswitch" cable

robespierre,

My Octane won't read the ID string from my monitor with a genuine SGI cable or the cable mentioned in the OP.

sgienthusiast,

Sorry to be so vague, but I don't know what the policy here is WRT to eBay links. We are talking about the same cable, anyhow.

Re: New package: XScreensaver 5.30

Did you include skyrocket from rss? On my V12 equipped 600MHz Octane2 skyrocket drops something like 19 out of every 20 frames...

2x 600 Octane here and it works perfectly. Definitly nothing like 19/20 dropped frames - just (very) slight studder when alot of fireworks go off at once.

Re: Octane audio - placebo effect?

What type of audio work do you do? I have a working Jack2 (svn) talking to XMMS with the idea of eventually getting a working Ardour stack on IRIX -- just wondering if there's other interest. Jack is really the bigger PITA than Ardour. As a completed project, this is like something way down the road.

Re: MIPSpro: Signal: Segmentation fault in Scope Setup pha

Try adding -Zf,_330 to $CFLAGS (yes, include the comma!). WTF is that???? ^ If the emoticons were working on this end, I'd pick a real witty one. That also solves the problem, but the -Z switch is completely undocumented AFAIK. Jan-Japp was on the mark with the Apache problem. Their issue was simil...

They all work really good on my V12 Octane with the exception of Lorenz which is a real pig.

You guys are stars, and all systems are go --- Just got the first working build after banging on this schiz for about two weeks. Playing a DVD on the current (unoptimized) libraries. Still have alot to do, but it's really gonna happen. http://home.ix.netcom.com/~jjingber/MPlayer-1.1.jpeg

MIPSpro: Signal: Segmentation fault in Scope Setup phase.

I'm gradually working my way through MPlayer 1.1.1 and I'm running into this at the same spot on each run. It's presumably a preprocessor issue (scope setup) but I'm not sure... MIPSpro is 7.4.4m on 6.5.30. I have every relevent patch for compiler/OS that I'm aware of. Google revelals reports of thi...

Re: neko_mrxvt backspace issue

Did you ever get this working? On a 'regular' rxvt, I have to do this to get the terminal to work like winterm: ~/.inputrc: # rxvt $if mode=emacs "\e[2~": overwrite-mode "\e[5~": beginning-of-history "\e[6~": end-of-history $if term=xterm "\e[7~": beginning-of...
