restarting build, was: firefox3 failed attempt, final summary

Hello all, during the last months I've been trying on my spare time to port firefox3 to Irix. I started with a vanilla firefox3 source package, without using any other patches, and tried to compile using latest nekoware gcc. Unfortunately I have failed, but have reached to a point which I should sha...

Re: Nekoware-current

Could someone please update libpng? I needed APNG support which is not compiled-in, and by chance I noticed that the version in nekoware is too old and has a ton of vulnerabilities (1.2.8 in nekoware versus 1.2.29 current...)

Re: nekoware

I would appreciate if you created me an account. In my free time I'm trying to build firefox3 but on my poor R5K O2 I need to wait more than one day for the (unoptimised) build to end (I mean to fail ;-). An account on a fash machine would help significantly my efforts.

Thanks

Re: Latest GTK+ 2 tardist

I have tried rc1, compiled with latest nekoware gcc (3.4.6). I have surpassed via simple patches all compile-time problems. The problem I have is runtime, and it's related to bug 349002 . It seems that there is no patch for Irix for the new xptcall API, and since it involves programming in Irix asse...

Latest GTK+ 2 tardist

Check them out here . WARNING: These are my first tardists so be a little careful and please notify me of any mistakes. They are not fully conformant to the nekochan way yet, I didn't have the time to fix little details like the release notes. I created these tardists to be able to compile firefox 3...

Re: Nekoware-current

Another problem with nekoware current, in particular the neko_tiff package which includes <varargs.h>: $ cat /usr/nekoware/lib/gcc/mips-sgi-irix6.5/3.4.6/include/varargs.h #ifndef _VARARGS_H #define _VARARGS_H #error "GCC no longer implements <varargs.h>." #error "Revise your code to ...

Re: tardist creation with no root access

OK, the package is rebuilt for mips4 and another tardist (glib-2.16.3) was added. Please tell me if things are wrong.

Re: tardist creation with no root access

Hi joerg, nice script you got there! Hmmm, it seems that indeed my build is for the mips3 tree... I probably need to pass -mips4 to gcc. I assumed that it automatically builds for the correct arch. In general I have always built my binaries like this so I have been using mips3 binaries for long! Str...

tardist creation with no root access

I had a rough time creating my first tardist , but finally I got it. Can you please take a look and tell me if it is OK? Ignoring the fact that it is built with gcc, I want it to properly replace all files of the previous tardist and not do anything it shouldn't. Please also tell me which commands y...

Re: Nekoware-current

Hi all, I'm having some problems with the gtk+-2.10.14 build in beta/ dir. In particular pkg-config reports gtk+-unix-print-2.0 as installed, even though the header files are missing. bash-3.00$ showfiles | grep gtk+-unix-print-2.0.pc f 25052 319 neko_gtk.sw.lib usr/nekoware/lib/pkgconfig/gtk+-unix-...
