talking about this ... maybe i'm OT .. but when i was on windows i was using Xdep/32... now my laptop have fedora.. and i was supposed to use Xnest... but i got black screen ... anyone have any idea why?

ehehe that's nice... my first laptop was a T1000 Toshiba.. which i've couple down in the garage... pretty sure dead since they just had FDD but i've lost the PSU. i'll bring them to life when I'll bring myself to a better life... which I'm waiting for since long months now... should say couple of ye...

I personally used it on my octane but since its gone on IRIX I use it now on Linux (and rarely on windows) only .. never tried on Sun but I'm curious about that Sun Grid render menager...

I have same exact AP for my home LAN ... looking forward to upgrade to a Cisco AP 1200 but this D-link does the job pretty well.. I'm happy with it.. I dont use it with any SGI box tought.. just my laptop when I'm in my living room and friends laptops when i'm too lazy to hook 'em a cable to the swi...

I usually run shake with "-gui 1" argument .... it loads shake with the tremor interface which i find really much better for 16:9 or 2k format..

thanks for the others tricks.. i'll try 'em on shake 4 later on my linux box.

once I had the license some years ago.. I replaced the car with a bike as my main transportation thing... I own a Kawasaki z-750 now .. but pointing at getting a 636 sportbike soon (or a Gsxr).

not easy to carry Sgi machines with bike.. but.. ther's always rent-a-car choice :)
