Re: Nekoware-current

If you are looking for a small, secure and fast ftp server that also does ftps, neko_vsftpd is now in /beta. Let me know if there are any problems with the tardist.

Re: Java and a Java IDE on IRIX

Also, does anyone know of any Java IDEs for which there's an IRIX build, or at least source code I can build?

I use netbeans 5.0 with the SGI java - 1.4.1_06. It's slow on my Octane, but I kinda like it.

Re: php ldap module

Weird indeed. I tried on a 1 GB Octane and a 2 GB Origin, with and without extra swap space, tried to set rlimit_data_max to unlimited via systune, but no sigar. It always stops with 'out of memory' on the same spot. Maybe I'm missing a mipspro patch or something.

Re: php ldap module

What was wrong with the existing neko_php5_ldap-5.2.1.tardist or do you need newer code from ext/ldap? Nothing really, but we run newer versions of openLDAP and BDB ( there were some issues with replication, and we could use the new config backend ) so I had to compile apache ( for mod_ldap and mod...

Re: php ldap module

Yes, I really mean it. After conftest.c. Not at the end of the options. After conftest.c.

That worked! Thank you! I would like to understand this a bit better. Are the libraries now ignored by the compiler, and only seen by the linker?

Re: php ldap module

You have to fix the configure script so "-lldap" is after conftest.c, as indicated by the warning 84 (the linking order is important) After conftest.c? Would c99 accept that? I was under the impression that all options had to go before the filename. Anyway, I did manage to move -lldap to ...

Re: php ldap module

Thanks for your reply! I took the environment vars from the nekoware php relnotes, so the compiler incantation plus env vars should be ok. In fact, the config.log file shows that configure called the compiler like this: configure:5496: checking for ldap_parse_result configure:5546: c99 -o conftest -...

php ldap module

Folks, I sure could use some help with this: I'm trying to compile the ldap module for neko_php5.2.1 against our version of openldap. So I go to php5.2.1/ext/ldap and do: %/usr/nekoware/php5/bin/phpize and then: %./configure --with-php-config=/usr/nekoware/php5/bin/php-config --enable-ldap=/usr/neko...

compiling lyx

Hi all, I've always had a bit of a weak spot for LyX, and so every once in a while, I like to check whether it compiles on irix. Now, with neko_libboost and neko_qt4, I get a lot further than before, but the error I get now seems rather grim: ### Assertion failure at line 327 of ../../be/cg/cgexp.cx...

Re: Nekoware-current

Uploaded neko_bind-9.6.1-P1.tardist to /beta. Update addresses CVE-2009-0696 That's absolutely awesome, neko! Thanks a million for keeping on top of this! I installed it on one of our nameservers and it seems to be allright so far. Just a remark: We run our nameservers chrooted, and this version co...

apache mod_auth_ldap

Hi all,

I do hope that I'm not asking too much, but could some kind soul here ( Joerg? ) try and compile apache with mod_ldap and mod_auth_ldap? Alternatively, I could try myself, but apache seems a bit high profile so I'd rather let somebody more experienced than me do it...

Re: compiling clamav

I (and probably a few other weird people arround here) run my email server on an Irix machine

Yep, same here. And the company of our current ( commercial ) anti-virus software is taking too long for my taste with updates, so I thought I'd have a look at clamav...
