Re: Have any one seen any good anime lately?

I'd encourage you to stick with it. It starts slow, but the reveal of what's really going on and the gonzo lengths it goes to while remaining remarkably self-consistent (and the depth of background material it weaves in) are fascinating when you get towards the end and look back at everything that'...

Re: Have any one seen any good anime lately?

After watching the first two episodes of Serial Experiments Lain... it is like I am missing the joke. Lain is definitely worth a go. It's like David Lynch directed a cyberpunk anime. In that it starts with a dead girl like Twin Peaks? :P Here I was hoping for something more Rabbits and a little less...

Re: Interesting read: Web Assembly

We will be continuously be paying rent to use anything proprietary. After the frontier is settled, the usurious rent seekers always arrive to "invest" in the hot property. Color me cynical but the laziness of humanity cannot be underestimated. Even in my children's classes most do not hav...

Re: Have any one seen any good anime lately?

Cyber City Oedo 808 An unfortunately short lived series. Lots of foul language and violence. Perfect. One-Punch Man A fresh take on cape shit stuff, hilarious. It is now on Netflix, so you have no excuses. Sword Art Online An interesting technical premise that quickly abandons any sort of logic and ...

Re: How do you explain....

I have had a lot of experience moonlighting offsite and doing contract work throughout my entire strange journey. You meet all kinds of people, and when you get inside their home they always have some sort of thing they collect. It can be anything from western wall kitsch and model trains that fill ...

Re: Turning your back on windows

Even if all of them were trying to censor content, the chances that there wouldn't be at least one censorship algorithm which missed any given page would be very slim, causing it to show up on ixquick. No, that isn't how ixquick works unfortunately. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ixquick#Search_mech...

Re: Turning your back on windows

[...]but from what I can tell it's criticisms are far more directed at philosophy and UNIX-ness rather than security. Certain search engines have long standing ties with the intelligence community, and it would naturally be in their best interest to make it appear that way. What a shocking set of c...

Dodoid wrote:(Dom0 would still have it, but who cares, it's Dom0, it's job is literally to run a WM and confirm file copies).

That is the part I would want most secure. If Dom0 is compromised, the rest of the VM's are trivial to compromise. Which would defeat the purpose of using Qubes.

I'm done with Microsoft BS.

All that effort and yet you still got systemd :P
