[insert "ohai again!" thing here]

I joined in 2005, did stuff (including selling a bunch of R7k O2s), fell away, dropped by over two years ago, now back today.

I still have two Octane2 machines, two I2 Impacts, and a handful of O2s with a couple of 1600SWs.

Glad to see the community's still thriving.

O2 R12K CPU standoffs (the plastic frame thing)

I somehow lost my R12K CPU standoffs (assuming that's the term for the plastic piece the CPU sits on) when I moved.

Anybody have a couple or three?

Re: Poll: Smoking behaviour...

Couldn't even if I wanted to. Fiercely allergic to tobacco contact or direct inhalation. I was given a Clove cigarette once after being told there's no tobacco in them. Lie. Instant debilitating hayfever type attack. I can't even kiss a girl who smokes without rocking a similar attack. Basically, we...

Re: Bake your graphics card!

all true. but people love magic, and hate reality. don't spoil their dreams. Wouldn't dream of it. Makes me money. Far as they know I'm healing stuff just by touching it. Though I'm glad I don't live in the kind of area where people who fear sprinkler rainbows would call me a heretic for it. Actual...

Re: Bake your graphics card!

Speaking from years of experience as a tech: Through-hole mounted parts (including DVI connectors, for example) generally won't take a baking. They're meant for wave soldering at most and that's it. Surface-mount parts will take a bake because that's how they're soldered in the first place. Reflow t...

I could barely even give one of those away back in 2005. I think I got an I2 for it.
