Help identifying Barco PCI card

There's a weird Barco card, with a DB9 connector and PCI bus interface. Does anyone know what card and what does it do? Is says it is a PHIFAC 2 card, but searching on the net yields nothing of the sort (not even on Barco website).

OpenOffice for IRIX

Hello,
I tried to download OpenOffice for IRIX (yes, the 1.0 build) but it seems it is no longer available.
Does anyone know where it can still be found?
Thanks in advance!

Just 3Dprint the skins.

Re: Alphaserver DS15

Does a GigE NIC make a difference for your VNC connection? Yes it does! A lot more fluid. The Tigon3 card eventually started working. But then I switched that card for a dual Intel GigE card and it does seems to be even better. Did not benchmark the Tigon3 in order to compare, but it certainly seem...

Re: Alphaserver DS15

Thanks for the info, I was already planning on switching to sid from Lenny, but I opted for installing from the network boot CD you mentioned. After updating the initial install with apt-get, the bootmenu goes full retard with disk UUIDs so I had to edit and add the devices instead for it to boot co...

Re: Alphaserver DS15

Hello, After several failed attempts at getting gentoo on the DS15 (it would switch back to SRM console at different stages of install) and NetBSD (seems the problem is memory overlap with SRM), I decided to try out Debian Lenny. Install went just fine (only had to supply a mirror by hand since Lenn...

Take into account you only have seconds to respond, but these are some of my sons questions today. q:When does the day end? a:When you go to sleep (could have gone into time on that one). q:What are birds made of? a:Matter, everything in the universe is made of matter. q:What are numbers made of? a...

Re: building current CDE on Alpha

Hello,
I have OpenBSD on my DS15, but as far as I know, there is no X support yet. So even if you manage to build CDE it would not work (correct me if I'm wrong).

NHD7: ftp://ftp-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/pub/public_patches/DEC/5.1X/NHD7.tar.gz Don't dismiss FreeAXP for anything DEC related, including of course Tru64: http://www.migrationspecialties.com/FreeAXP.html Thanks for the link. I already have the tar.gz file. The problem lies in generating a NHD7 image on...

Re: Alphaserver DS15

Hello, An update on the DS15. SRM upgrade was done using another ISO image. RAM upgraded to 1GB (4x256MB sticks). On a sidenote, seems like the Octane2 RAM *might* be interchangeable with the DS15 RAM. Physically they fit in the slot, and from what I could find out, both are 133MHz. Don't know about...

There's a massive processor on eBay, does anyone know which processor it is? Seems like some Power or Cell processor:

Alphaserver DS15

Hola, I got a DS15 a few days ago. Turns out the machine seems to be OK (hooking up via serial I get all the SRM boot output until it tries to boot from a disk that was removed): *** keyboard not plugged in... starting console on CPU 0 initialized idle PCB initializing semaphores initializing heap i...

Re: [Craigslist SF] SGi Visual Workstation 320 $200

My VW320 is still waiting for a W2k install. It always freezes during the early phase of installing. I have already partitioned the scsi drive in other box, but still no go.

By any chance do you have memory for the Alphaserver DS15?
