Re: Octane2 | Dual 600mhz | 3.5GB | Dual Head V12/DCD

now glamorously renamed by our open source friends as GLOMP . :D Oh come on... :| Well good to know that folks in the community still have it. Is this perhaps something that admin could add to the FTP under /Graphics or /Drivers? There doesn't seem to be a way to sign up for the new customer ...

Re: Octane2 | Dual 600mhz | 3.5GB | Dual Head V12/DCD

Hi recondas, that sounds good once I get some more displays in here, and thanks very much for the pointers. I can't actually find Multipipe though. I'm pretty sure I had a free supportfolio account from years and years ago, but I'll be damned if I can remember the login. :|

Re: Cube logo obj model

maybe we can use this thread as a call to arms so to say and see if more members contribute their version of the logo. would be great having some kind of collection here. Cool, I like that idea. Being the lazy guy I am I just extruded a nurbs tube. Your curves are pretty darn nice though, props. sn...

Re: Cube logo obj model

Thanks guys, it was made in Houdini 15 on PC. If there is interest I will try to get Houdini 6.5 installed on the Octane2 and see if the same steps can be applied. It's been a while since I used that version so I'm not sure which modeling tools are missing. Either way, it shouldn't bee too bad.

Re: Octane2 | Dual 600mhz | 3.5GB | Dual Head V12/DCD

Very nice !!! My Octane 2 with dual head is also named Cobalt. You copycat you !! 8-) Aw dangit, I had a feeling I wasn't being very original. The Fuel is named Radish, because the shade of red is so close to that. I couldn't come up with any blue foods other than blueberries so I looked at shades ...

Thanks. :)

And you know, I haven't asked mopar about the machine's origin, maybe he'll chime in.

Re: Hello again

DSC03573-HDR.jpg Alright, it's clear I have a problem. I recently acquired mopar's very nice Octane2: dual 600 R14k, dual head and dual channel V12, 3.5GB of RAM, two 73GB 15,000rpm drives, PCI cardcage with a couple of fibre channel cards. I will get around to posting a proper hinv for it. I...

Re: Hello again

I have posted hinvs for both machines.

strong_epoxy, it's a Sony a6000 with either the 16-50mm kit lens or Canon FDn 35mm f2. The kit lens is not the greatest but most of these were shot on a tripod which let me work at f8 and beyond where that lens does just fine.

Fuel | 800mhz | 1GB | V12

It had some stickers over the case to prevent tampering. The seller said it was used by the government but I have no info beyond that. It has a clean install of 6.5.30. I still need to set up a user and get some software on this guy. :) DSC03473-scaled.jpg hinv Location: /hw/module/001c01/node IP34 ...

Re: Hello again

The diode in the Octane lightbar lit right up after poking and nudging it a bit. It's fine now. The Fuel arrived! It's heavier than I was expecting for an ATX style chassis. The metal/plastics were not in bad shape but I gave them the machine the same treatment as the Octane. Please let me kn...

Re: Hello again

Welcome, that's a very clean and nice Octane. I am afraid to polish mine for fear of messing it up lol. But all in all they are very nice machines and I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. Thanks Krokodil. In all honesty, I thought I had messed it up, but the MBTB evened everything out pret...
