Re: O2 IRIX install - 6.5.30 --> 6.5.4

omelett, josehill has a good question, I see this O2 has a modded 600MHz CPU. For the O2 PROM to recognize the RM7000C chip on the CPU board, it has to have a recent enough version of PROM to be used with the SGI made RM7000A 350MHz CPU board. I don't know at what version of PROM the support for the...

Origin 300 with Q-Logic PCI SCSI Card

Hi All, SCSI controller 0 (internal connection) on my O300 has failed, controller 1 (external) works fine. I installed a Q-Logic QLA1080 SCSI card in the top PCI slot, but the PROM doesn't see it at boot up. IRIX sees it (and the attached SCSI CDROM) once I get the system running but this whole affa...

Does anyone know if it's possible to run one boinc with two projects (Seti on 3 cpus and Einstein on 3 cpus) at the same time?

khanna,

Can you confirm the link: http://gravity.phy.umassd.edu/~gkhanna/eah-irix.tar.gz is the correct link for the Einstein@home binaries and that this link is working? It seems dead as of 10/27/06 PM CST.

I spoke to Ivan Paderta for a while this afternoon (you have to like/respect a man that answers his own phone) and even the Global Developer Program Online level ISV gets you current IRIX updates, patches and much more than a "guest" Supportfolio level. FWIW - Ivan was very specific, if yo...

Onyx 3200 with Infinite Performance Graphics

This is my Origin 3200 upgraded with an Infinite Performance graphics system (V-brick) and Griffin iMic USB audio device, system is running IRIX 6.5.26. The iMic was as simple as plugging it into the USB hub on my Apple keyboard, autoconfig and restarting the system. There is NO audio in, but the au...
